Understanding the offer
What does peptide actually mean?
Keep the name of the ingredient and the plan for your joint on separate lines.
Think of a small chain
The small building blocks of proteins also form the short chain called a peptide.
Insulin is an example of a peptide.

When someone offers peptide therapy, ask them to name the product. A broad word is a hard thing to check. A written name gives you something to look up.
Separate the name from the promise
As of September 2026, US drug rules do not give everything called peptide therapy a shared legal status.

The ingredient is the part meant to do the drug’s work.
For example, insulin names a peptide ingredient.
A particular bottle of medicine containing insulin is a finished product.
Write the ingredient name on one line and the full name on the medicine’s package on another. On a third line, write what it is claimed to do for your joint. This example explains the names; it is not a suggestion to use insulin for joint pain.
